About Our Business.…
Envirosafe Services of Ohio, Inc. (ESOI) is a fully permitted hazardous waste treatment and disposal facility with both state and federal Part B permits, occupying approximately 133 acres in an industrialized area of Oregon, Ohio. Envirosafe supplies customers with specialized expertise in stabilization and landfilling of environmentally sensitive wastes and by-products.
Envirosafe use its experience and knowledge to provide stabilization treatment and disposal services to incinerators, waste consolidators, and multi- and single- source generators.
Flexibility and Convenience....
ESOI offers a fully enclosed, high-capacity waste treatment facility with specialized equipment and processes which effectively and efficiently handle hazardous solids, sludges, soils, dusts, powders, slag, concrete, and debris. In addition to treatment services, ESOI offers RCRA Subtitle C landfill capacity to manage your long-term disposal requirements, analytical services, transportation and brokering services. ESOI is permitted to accept an extensive list of US EPA waste codes and waste types and is CERCLA approved. We accept waste by truck or rail, and in a wide variety of shipping containers. In fact, ESOI is the only commercial hazardous waste landfill with direct rail access into the facility.
Exceptional Design....
ESOI's location is exceptional due to its excellent geology, which includes thick layers of dense clays with very low permeability. Disposal cells are designed with redundant protective systems, including two synthetic liners, a leachate collection system and a leak detection system. ESOI monitors the facility by using an extensive system of groundwater wells and air monitoring stations located around the perimeter of the site.

Our liability protection is like no other in the industry. ESOI utilizes a unique combination of standard post-closure funding supplemented by an additional Perpetual Care Fund, which ensures the availability of funds beyond the standard thirty year post-closure period mandated by US EPA regulations. The combined closure, post-closure, and perpetual care trust fund has over $54 million in cash, and will grow to hundreds of millions of dollars. For example, in just 20 years the fund balance will exceed 100 million dollars. This funding strategy, combined with ESOI's excellent compliance and safety records, natural geology and hydrogeological characteristics, and the impressive high-technology design of our facility, offers what we believe to be environmental stewardship and long-term, liability protection that is unsurpassed in the industry.
